Well we made it to North Carolina in one piece, barely. I don’t know if it made national news but there was a pretty good set of storms that swept through northern North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia that we had just managed to miss. I drove from Lake City Minnesota until about 30 north of the West Virginia boarder of Ohio. Time wise that means from 1100am central time until 2am eastern time. Not bad if you ask me. We only made one pit stop to rest. We made it to about King North Carolina, before we pulled over to nap. I woke up after about two hours and drove the rest of the way to Don’s sisters arriving at about 12 noon on Sunday.
The movers came on Friday and had everything loaded by about 130 in the afternoon. Our stuff is supposed to get here on the 19th which is of course the day that I have my first day of orientation from 8-430.
The animals seem to be adapting pretty well, the drive was tough for them. Blossom did really well. Sure she’d pant for a bit after we had stopped some where, but she would usually settle back down and sleep. Ash did better than expected, there were only short outbursts of crying. I waited to give him any Benedryl until somewhere in Ohio and I’m glad i waited cause he puked everywhere, started foaming at the mouth and it was pretty scary, he just completely freaked out. But it kinda worked cause he was so wore out from his little freak out session that he curled up in his kennel and went to sleep!
No knitting to speak of but I did find out I only live a mile from a yarn shop…..bwahahhaahahaha. Wait, do you hear that??? Thats the sound of my bank accounts screaming!!! Anywho i best be getting back to computer crap, we are having issues getting two computers to work on the internet, so I’m trying to get Don’s up and running before he gets home from work….so far I’m not doing real well!

Glad to hear that you made it out there okay and that Don was able to make the trip with you. I’ll miss (maybe) your very loud belches in the middle of the night.
(that would be at work for those of you who have no clue who I am).
Anne
Sounds like a horrific drive (shudder). Still see you Sunday? What’s the name of your yarn shop?
Hehehe, how are things Anne???? I always thought of them as a way to help people stay awake!!!!
Carpool~ At this point i’m still planning on going on Sunday, we’ll see then i think. The yarn store is called Bella Filati in Southern Pines. I haven’t had a chance to go yet.
yeah! i’m glad you made it!! i can just see your cat foaming at the mouth and puking all over the place!……probably just upset that Brett Favre isn’t coming back………. Maybe down there you can find a Southern goat and feed him fried chicken in exchange for his wool? wait, goat’s don’t have wool…….. Anyhoo, i’m glad you made it with minimal animal exrement in you car. good luck on the new job!! Did you ever find out about the cafeteria?
